Oita holds the 10th largest overall kiwi fruit cultivation area in Japan, with fruits planted in regions such as Kunisaki, Oita city, and Usuki. Most of the produce are shipped outside of the prefecture, with the Kanto and Kansai regions being major destinations. The kiwi fruit is a rich source of vitamin C, making it the perfect snack for cosmetic and health care.
